Sophie Giraud was born in France and spent part of her childhood in Turkey. She was educated in Switzerland and settled in Canada in 1984.  After an honors bachelor’s degree in Arts & Sciences from Trinity College, University of Toronto, she took extensive photography courses at Toronto’s Ryerson University.  Sophie has been a Toronto-based stills photographer on film and TV productions since 1995. Some of her work may be viewed on her website, and she is fully documented, under her name, on IMDB. In addition to the countries she has lived in, Sophie has travelled extensively and photographed a multitude of people and sceneries on five continents.  She speaks fluent English, French, Spanish and Turkish, and holds both Canadian and EU passports.  Sophie’s approach to her work can be summed up in two words: creativity, and dedication.
